Description
This is a Corporate Contract Position. All applicants must be located outside of the United States.
Primary Goal: The Translation Project Manager oversees document translation projects ensuring timeliness and accuracy of client deliverables. A Translation PM, supervises, coaches, and directs Freelance Linguists and will act as the primary point of contact for existing clients. This is a high-visibility role utilizing technology, people, and processes to deliver world-class services across a wide variety of industries.
Responsibilities:
- Job scoping and quoting for existing clients - must be available to work East Coast Time Zone Hours.
- Recruit, schedule, and manage Freelance Linguist and PM resources to meet client needs
- Negotiate with freelance linguists on project rates and ensure target margins are met
- Select the appropriate freelance/ PM resources for each project and manage them throughout the process.
- File management/ database maintenance and oversight
- Utilize Company tools and technologies including Wordbee, Quoting Tools, VDRs
- Ensure quality control for project deliverables and take corrective action as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
- Full working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, XLS, PowerPoint)
- High-level understanding of TMS workflow and Translation Memory (TM) tools
- Working knowledge of Desktop Publishing Tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Quark)
- Foreign Language skills are a definite plus
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint and superior knowledge of Excel
- Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred
