This is a Corporate Contract Position.  All applicants must be located outside of the United States.



Primary Goal: The Translation Project Manager oversees document translation projects ensuring timeliness and accuracy of client deliverables. A Translation PM, supervises, coaches, and directs Freelance Linguists and will act as the primary point of contact for existing clients. This is a high-visibility role utilizing technology, people, and processes to deliver world-class services across a wide variety of industries. 

Responsibilities: 


  • Job scoping and quoting for existing clients - must be available to work East Coast Time Zone Hours. 
  • Recruit, schedule, and manage Freelance Linguist and PM resources to meet client needs
  • Negotiate with freelance linguists on project rates and ensure target margins are met
  • Select the appropriate freelance/ PM resources for each project and manage them throughout the process.
  • File management/ database maintenance and oversight
  • Utilize Company tools and technologies including Wordbee, Quoting Tools, VDRs
  • Ensure quality control for project deliverables and take corrective action as needed
  • Other duties as assigned




Requirements

Required Minimum Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
  • Full working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, XLS, PowerPoint)
  • High-level understanding of TMS workflow and Translation Memory (TM) tools
  • Working knowledge of Desktop Publishing Tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Quark)
  • Foreign Language skills are a definite plus
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and PowerPoint and superior knowledge of Excel
  • Experience with Google Docs and Apple/Mac Operating System preferred
