This role requires an individual with a proven track record of managing complex projects, including lab analysis, environmental compliance, quality assurance, and customer relations. The Project Manager will lead project planning, execution, and closure, while ensuring adherence to budget, timelines, and regulatory standards.
Oversee and manage multiple, concurrent environmental projects from inception to completion.
· Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including lab analysts, quality assurance, and field technicians to ensure project success.
· Ensure alignment of project objectives with organizational goals, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
· Provide technical guidance to the project team based on extensive knowledge of environmental testing protocols, laboratory methods, and compliance standards.
· Conduct regular quality control checks and audits on project deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, EPA, or relevant local and federal regulations).
· Review and interpret data, identifying trends, potential issues, and making recommendations for improvement.
· Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparent communication, managing expectations, and addressing any project-related inquiries.
· Present project status updates, key findings, and completion reports to clients and senior management.
· Foster long-term relationships with clients by providing exceptional service, maintaining confidentiality, and anticipating future needs.
· Identify, assess, and manage project risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to avoid potential disruptions.
· Resolve project-related issues promptly, working collaboratively with teams to prevent project delays.
· Develop and monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and controlling costs without compromising quality.
· Work closely with procurement and finance teams to manage project expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
· Provide mentorship to junior project managers and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
· Conduct performance evaluations and offer feedback to team members to support career development within the organization.

Education:
? Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
Experience/Qualifications:
· Minimum of 10 years of experience in an environmental laboratory setting, with expertise in testing protocols, compliance, and lab management.
At least 5 years of project management experience, with proven skills in project planning, execution, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
· Strong knowledge of industry standards, such as EPA regulations, ISO, or ASTM standards.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Asana) and laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
