Job Description:
NewFi, a leading mortgage company, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst / Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mortgage or financial services and will play a crucial role in driving our lending origination system, CRM tools, business rules, and policy and procedure initiatives. This is a remote position with occasional travel requirements and flexible working hours aligned with the Pacific Time Zone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Requirements Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document detailed business requirements for various projects, including the lending origination system, CRM tools, and other technology solutions.
- AI & Automation Awareness: When developing technical documents and business requirements, consider that AI systems and automation tools may act as future end users. Structure content to be modular, logically organized, and machine-readable where appropriate. This supports scalability, enables intelligent automation, and ensures documentation remains relevant as technology evolves.
- Technical Writing: Create clear and concise technical documentation, user guides, and manuals that effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Business Rules and Policies: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for business rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory guidelines.
- Requirements Validation: Collaborate with stakeholders to validate business requirements and ensure they meet the needs of the organization, making necessary revisions as required.
- Quality Assurance: Assist in testing and quality assurance activities to ensure that systems and processes meet defined requirements and are free of defects.
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather information, present findings, and provide status updates on projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst and Technical Writer in the mortgage or financial services industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in documentation tools and software.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and lending origination systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of mortgage lending industry regulations and compliance requirements a plus.
- Ability to work independently and in a remote team environment.
- Willingness to work pacific hours and travel occasionally as needed.
