Compensation: $118,200 – $147,600 CA, NY, WA, D.C., VA, NJ All Other States - $110,500 - $125,500

THE ROLE:

The SEMI Foundation seeks a highly organized, tactical, and mission-aligned Project Manager - National Network for Microelectronics Education (NNME) to help drive NNME's success. NNME is a National Network funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), to advance workforce and education efforts across the United States. This role is more than managing calendars and deadlines, it is a pivotal position that blends project execution with thought partnership, reporting to the NNME Director and serving as a connector across the NNME team, workstreams, stakeholders, and reporting requirements.

The Project Manager will play a critical role in supporting the success of the NNME Hub by driving project coordination, ensuring timely completion of deliverables, supporting administrative and reporting functions, and serving as a thought partner to the Hub Director and NNME Team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, solutions-driven, and comfortable working across multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, evolving environment. They must be self-managed but able to work as part of team; highly collaborative and willing to be transparent about their work process and generous in sharing their knowledge; brings expertise, humility, and curiosity to the work in equal measure, and has superior communication skills.  

The Project Manager will need to be creative, energetic, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and projects at any given time. 


This is a full-time position which reports to the NNME Director.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management & Operational Support

· Develop and maintain detailed project plans across NNME workstreams, ensuring alignment with contract deliverables and internal SEMI processes.

· Monitor deadlines, milestones, and dependencies, identify risks early, and resolve issues quickly.

· Maintain a real-time view of progress across all components of NNME's Multi-year Project Plan and support the Director in keeping workstream leads aligned.

· Facilitate effective coordination across SEMI departments and external partners to ensure timely deliverables and clear communication.


Strategic Thought Partnership

· Act as a planning partner to the NNME Director and NNME team by providing informed perspectives and organizational frameworks that facilitate strategic decision-making, effective team coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

· Assist in translating overarching objectives into detailed work plans, tangible deliverables, and measurable performance indicators to monitor progress and success. 

· Support creation and refinement of team SOPs, reports, and material development for internal and internal stakeholders, including government partners ensuring clear and effective dissemination. 


Stakeholder & Team Coordination

· Support meeting preparation and follow-up for team meetings, governance and advisory board meetings, stakeholder convenings, and Hub and Node activities.

· Maintain project documentation, decision logs, and knowledge-sharing resources.

· Coordinate timelines and deliverables across teams to ensure effective project execution.

· Monitor, track and report project progress, identify potential risks, and recommend solutions. 


Reporting & Compliance

· Contribute to the preparation of reports, data analyses, and compliance documentation necessary for NSF and internal SEMI evaluations, ensuring alignment with project goals.

· Facilitate monitoring of sub-awardees' and partners' progress in relation to contractual deliverables and established timelines.

· Coordinate documentation for evaluation processes, assessments, and curriculum validation protocols.


CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: 

· 5–7 years of relevant experience in project management, program operations, or strategic implementation, preferably in education, workforce development, or a government-funded initiative.

· Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects with overlapping deadlines and shifting priorities. 

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to draft concise updates, strategic summaries, and presentation materials.

· Strong strategic thinking and systems orientation; can anticipate roadblocks, ask the right questions, and offer solutions.

· Experience working in or with mission-driven, matrixed, or start-up-like environments.

· High emotional intelligence, humility, and adaptability.

· Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, etc.) and fluency in document management (MS Office and Teams).

· Advanced skillset and comfort in using Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce. 


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

· Experience in the microelectronics/semiconductor industry

· Ability to effectively interact with a variety of audiences, including civic, community, philanthropic, corporate, and government officials

· Passion for organizing and keeping teammates organized and on task.

· Projects and deliverables are consistently completed on time, within scope, and aligned with NNME’s strategic objectives.

· Workstreams are well-coordinated, with clear communication and effective collaboration across internal teams and external partners.

· Risks and issues are identified early and resolved efficiently, minimizing disruptions to project timelines.

· Stakeholders, including the NNME Director, team members, and partners are well-informed through timely updates, clear documentation, and transparent reporting.

· Team meetings, governance sessions, and Communities of Practice are well-prepared and result in actionable outcomes.


PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE 

· BS/BA degree or Project Management Professional (PMP) and relevant project management experience.

· Apprenticeship in Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.

· Experience in workforce development, education technology, or related fields.
