About the Role
As a SoyPlus Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, machinery, and plant systems within the SoyPlus Plant, Elevator, and SoyChlor Plant.
What will you do?
· Configure, modify, and test electrical systems in plant.
· Program and replace VFDs (variable frequency drive).
· Install, maintain, diagnose issues, and repair all types of electrical equipment including actuators, conduit, motors, PLCs (programmable logic controller), starters, switches, valves, wiring, and more.
· Recommend and implement innovative ideas to improve equipment and system design.
· Be responsible for compliance with all federal, state, and local codes and regulations.
· Follow all safety guidelines regulated by Landus Cooperative, OSHA, or other regulatory agencies.
· Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers both orally and in writing.
· Work independently or with a team.
· Accurately record data, process written records, and prepare reports as required and/or requested on a timely basis.
· Provide assistance in other work-related areas.
· Be available and on call as needed for day/night work and any extended hours as required.

Job Requirements (license, certifications, location, commitments)
· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· Two – four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Working knowledge of 480/277 and 208/120 volt systems.
· Awareness of and ability to operate power tools, hand tools, testing equipment, machine shop equipment including drill, grinder, cut off saw, etc.
· Demonstrated ability in coordinating projects with internal and external resources.
· Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
· Able to define problems, collaborate with team members, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
· Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Computer Skills, Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, and databases.
