The Detailer will perform advanced and complex drafting functions that bring innovative cooling and mechanical systems from concept to construction. In this role, you'll collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce high quality, detailed drawings that support efficient, code-compliant refrigeration solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
  2. Produce three-dimensional models, using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  3. Consult with engineers to discuss or interpret design concepts or determine requirements of detailed working drawings.
  4. Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or to reduce production problems.
  5. Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
  6. Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components.
  7. Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery, using computer-assisted equipment.
  8. Performs advanced or complex drafting functions for design support and print changes.
  9. Prepares completed layouts, drawings, and illustrations for final product design from simple sketches using software programs.
  10. Prepares, corrects, and modifies installation drawings and instructions.
  11. Prepares documentation and assembly drawings for standard, modified, and custom products.
  12. Prepares charts, wiring diagrams, and exhibits for presentations using the computer.
  13. Provides general and technical information related to drafting functions and product design.
  14. Updates graphical attributes using the database.
  15. Support cross-departmental functions as required to meet customer needs.
  16. Follows established procedures, work instructions, and operational controls implemented by the company to comply with all applicable legal requirements.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or Engineering required.
  2. Proficient in the Autodesk Environment.
  3. MS Office (Word & Excel) and virtual collaboration tools.
  4. CMIC, and Procore experience preferred.
  5. Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
  6. Strong communication skills - written and verbal
  7. Having initiative and a positive, "can-do” attitude is essential.
  8. Efficient time management and organizational skills.
  9. Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  10. Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 
  2. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and climbing stairs (high rooftops included).
  3. Ability to work at heights and around moving machinery, including vibrating machinery, and tolerate environmental conditions consisting of heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, and dust.
  4. Must be able to lift and carry 15-25 pounds at times.
  5. Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (if working on job sites, driving, etc.).
Salary Description
$60k to 80k, depending on experience
