Role Overview
The Facilities Manager oversees the maintenance, safety, and appearance of all Del Norte Credit Union properties. This role ensures facilities operations enhance member and employee experiences, comply with regulations, and support organizational goals. Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing vendors, and driving efficiency initiatives to maintain a positive workplace environment.
Salary
Starting pay: $73,492–$91,865 annually, based on qualifications, internal equity, and budget.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Direct facility updates, remodels, and new construction projects to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs and inventory tracking systems.
- Lead and develop a high-performing facilities team through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.
- Align departmental objectives with organizational strategy and performance excellence initiatives.
- Oversee space planning, layout coordination, and facilities expansion projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture.
- Respond to facility emergencies and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Build and manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
- Monitor departmental budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Lead workplace safety training, conduct facility inspections, and implement preventive maintenance schedules.

Experience
Three to Five years’ experience in facilities management or related field. Must be able to maintain an NM Driver's License and clean driving background to operate company vehicles.
Education
(1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position require the ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, and occasionally crawl in confined spaces. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely operate hand and power tools. Manual dexterity is required to use computers and related equipment. This role also involves traveling by vehicle to various sites and working in environments that may include varying weather conditions. Work Environment
This role involves working both indoors and outdoors, managing projects and responding to after-hour calls as needed. The position requires flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings or weekends, and frequent travel between branches.
