We’re currently looking for a Commercial Insurance Account Manager who will collaborate closely with producers and carriers to deliver exceptional service and long-term value to our clients.


What’s the work like?

As a Commercial Insurance Account Manager, you’ll take ownership of a dynamic book of business and serve as a trusted partner to clients and internal partners alike. You will...

  • Independently manage day-to-day service responsibilities for a commercial book of business, with a focus on accounts generating $3,000+ in revenue
  • Partner with producers to develop, coordinate, and support service plans for key accounts
  • Deliver exceptional ongoing service by preparing proposals, issuing certificates and auto ID cards, processing endorsements, audits, binders, and keeping all account tasks current
  • Ensure timely invoicing of all premium-bearing transactions
  • Review policies upon receipt to ensure accuracy and adherence to agency standards
  • Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and service requests
  • Review client contracts and recommend coverage modifications to producers, clients, and carriers as needed to meet contractual requirements
  • Communicate clearly and consistently with producers, clients, carriers, and internal team members
  • Maintain complete and accurate electronic account files while fully utilizing the agency management system
  • Effectively prioritize workload to meet deadlines and service expectations, seeking support when needed
  • Support producers in identifying and eliminating coverage gaps to reduce E&O exposure
  • Participate in quality reviews and comply with agency quality and compliance programs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to support retention and growth
  • Develop and sustain productive partnerships with insurance carrier representatives
  • Handle highly sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, including Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Continuously build technical knowledge through training, publications, seminars, and industry resources
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance and contribute positively to the team
  • Support special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What do I need to know?

You have to have…

  • Valid Driver's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • An active Resident Property and Casualty Agent's license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information 
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and agency management systems; Applied Epic experience is a plus 
  • Three (3) or more years of Commercial lines insurance experience

  • Familiarity with Commercial Agriculture insurance products

Salary Description
$55,000 - $75,000
