Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide guidance and on-shift coaching to Aquatics team members to maintain consistent safety, operations, and guest service standards.
- Help ensure all aquatic areas comply with IROC–Aquatics Operator guidelines and park safety policies.
- Assist in conducting routine safety checks, water-quality observations, and documenting operational logs as directed.
- Serve as a first point of support for resolving team member questions, operational concerns, or guest inquiries.
- Assist with the training and onboarding of new team members, reinforcing proper procedures, emergency readiness, and accessibility guidelines.
- Help coordinate daily staffing assignments and break schedules to ensure proper coverage across all aquatic areas.
- Maintain vigilance in aquatic zones and support emergency response efforts under the direction of the Aquatics Supervisor.
- Promote a clean, organized, and accessible environment throughout all aquatic facilities.
- Report any maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or operational issues promptly to the Aquatics Supervisor or appropriate departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Aquatics or in a similar attractions or guest service role required.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred; ability to obtain if not already held.
- Demonstrated understanding of ride operations, safety procedures, and IROC- Aquatics Operator standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and guide team members effectively.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact positively with guests of all ages and abilities.
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and professional in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and enforce safety and operational policies.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, safe, and informed decisions.
- Must successfully complete all required training and maintain any necessary certifications.
