The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Food & Beverage Manager in many of the daily duties of our operations, and provides professional leadership and direction to all related personnel.
Front of House Supervisors primarily work in the pub at their respective campus, however they will also lend support to the Senior Manager Hospitality & Operations and Kitchen Manager where necessary.
The FOH Supervisor covers a wide variety of responsibilities in the daily operations of the SSU facilities, and may be modified from time to time by management. It is important to note that not all functions and duties are contained within this definition, and the position itself should be ever changing and adaptive. Nevertheless, specific roles and responsibilities allocated to this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Act as a liaison between team members and management.
- Aid in the supervision and training of the part-time staff.
- Ensure that the Operations Management Team is aware of the activities occurring in the restaurant.
- Advise management with any employee members’ performance issues
- Advise management of any disciplinary actions taken on staff.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.
- Aid in ensuring all weekly orders are received and effectively stored and practice proper product rotation.
- Aid in daily productivity,
- Ensure established standards of cleanliness and sanitation are being met, as well as execute daily and weekly cleaning projects.
- Have thorough product knowledge.
- Participate in staff and management meetings
- Establish and maintain a healthy working relationship with the Operations Team and all part-time staff.
- Assist with daily deposits, revenue records, ordering, and inventory.
- Supervise sales contests, staff incentives, and collect staff feedback for new initiatives.
- Ensure opening and/or closing duties are completed efficiently and thoroughly.
