Associate Product Manager
Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid)
About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Product Manager to support product management activities for Jungheinrich’s North American forklift truck portfolio, with a strong preference for candidates with exposure to, or an interest in developing expertise in energy systems. This role supports the full product lifecycle for electric forklift trucks and related energy solutions, working closely with regional and global product management teams to ensure competitive, compliant, and market-aligned offerings.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the portfolio and lifecycle management of electric forklift trucks and related energy solutions for the North American market.
- Assist with market, competitor, and trend analysis in collaboration with global and regional product management teams.
- Support the definition of regional product requirements, business cases, and product roadmaps aligned with global strategy.
- Contribute to requirements management, product shaping, and ongoing product development activities.
- Support marketing and sales initiatives to enhance product positioning, market penetration, and customer engagement.
- Assist with planning and execution of product-related projects, from market analysis through product launch and lifecycle management.
- Provide support to sales and service teams, including basic product training and technical documentation.
- Ensure awareness of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ANSI/ITSDF, OSHA) impacting powered industrial trucks and related solutions.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Product Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in product management, project management, or a related role in a B2B environment.
- Exposure to material handling equipment, industrial products, or energy systems is preferred but not required.
- Interest in or foundational understanding of electric forklift trucks, batteries, charging solutions, or energy-related products is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to support projects across the product lifecycle.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; experience working in cross-functional or international teams preferred.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn within a matrixed organization.
- Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
