As a Sleep Medicine Provider, you will be part of our growing team in the Division of Neurology and be responsible for providing consistent care to patients in the outpatient Sleep Medicine Clinic weekday nights, as well as emergent care to patients arriving in Labor and Delivery. You will evaluate neurology patients who are referred for evaluation of sleep apnea and other sleep related disorders. You will actively work sleep technicians and allied professional providers to assess the needs of patients referred to the sleep center; that work will include evaluation of processes, research, and technology that advances care and the Sleep Medicine Department. While conducting care of sleep patients, you will interact with neurologists and neurosurgeons and play an integral role as member of the Pickup Family Neurosciences Institute.
- Full-time or Part-time opportunity in Newport Beach, Irvine and possibly San Clemente, CA
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts
- Outpatient role
- Comprehensive Team: Neurologists, Pulmonologists, Fellowship-trained Sleep Medicine Physicians
- Sleep Lab staffed with Sleep Technologists and support staff
- Growing sleep program with locations currently in Newport Beach, Irvine, and San Clemente, CA
- Conditions treated: Narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, Insomnia, REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, Limb Movement Disorder
- Board-eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Fellowship trained in Sleep Medicine from ACGME program
- Experience as a Sleep Medicine Physician is preferred
- CA Medical License or ability to obtain CA Medical License
- Must be interested in participating in clinical education for other medical staff, establishing care protocols for Sleep Medicine programs and working on research projects as needed.
- A passion for providing excellent clinical care and excellent communication skills and interest in working in a collaborative team-oriented environment are a must.
- Knowledge of Epic EMR is preferred but not required
- Ability to achieve full and unrestricted hospital/surgical privileges at Hoag Hospital.
