Business Development Representative
Description

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is a front-line sales role responsible for driving revenue growth by building strong client relationships and closing new business. This role owns the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development to proposal, negotiation, and close.


The ideal candidate is an independent, strategic thinker who is resourceful, tech-savvy, and comfortable identifying customer challenges and delivering practical solutions.

Requirements
  • Experience in sales or business development (B2B preferred).
  • Familiarity with construction, utilities, and/or hydro-vac industries strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to close deals and grow revenue.
  • Independent self-starter with strong strategic thinking skills.
  • Comfortable prospecting, networking, and opening new accounts.
  • Tech-savvy; experience using CRM systems.


 Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients and key decision-makers.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, presentations, proposals, negotiation, and close.
  • Act as a trusted resource by understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership to ensure successful project execution and handoffs.
  • Attend networking events, industry meetings, and client site visits as needed.

Work Environment

  • Field-based and office/remote work environment
  • Out-of-town travel will be required


 

Benefits/Compensation Include:

  • Salary Range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually
  • Bonus: Quarterly performance-based bonus plan
