Hunter Communications is searching for ambitious, hard-working entry-level laborers to train for a career as an Aerial Lineman, Installer, or Splicer. The Billing/Collections Specialist will work closely with customers and multiple internal departments, assisting with all billing and collections responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to take their administrative skills to the next level.


Billing & Collections Responsibilities

  • Primary for answering billing/collections calls.
  • Manage past due billing queue, and all past dues.
  • Back up for daily check processing.
  • Processing payments, updating CC info and auditing customer accounts.
  • Works with billing team to respond to all billing email inquiries
  • Credit card Declines, emailing customers their to get updated information on declined
  • Process all ACH payments/bank payments.
  • Process Monthly Bill Cut
  • Work billing tickets/tasks in a timely manner with excellent customer service and attention to detail.
  • Work with the accounting team to process customers to collections.

Pay & Benefits:


Competitive starting wage in addition to fully paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance coverage. Accrued 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of sick time in addition to 9 paid holidays each year. Ability for wage increases as training milestones are completed.

Requirements

This position requires a bachelor's degree and 0-2 years of experience in operations administration or in a related area. Preferred experience in Telecommunications related job fields. Strong communication skills required. Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Suite required. The employee must be able to rely on limited experience and/or training and use sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Must have exceptional attention to detail.


Physical Requirements:

Minimal physical effort under typical office conditions but must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lb. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Frequent sitting, talking, hearing and mental concentration for prolonged periods required; use of hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms; specific vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus, ability to distinguish color in graphs, charts, etc. Must be able to communicate and be understood clearly; hearing ability requirements include ability to interact with employees, the public, elected or appointed officials and outside organizations.
