Come work and grow with Bluestone Federal Credit Union! We are currently looking to fill an Assistant Branch Manager role for our Micro Branch. 


As the Assistant Branch Manager, you will be responsible for serving the members financial needs by coordinating, supervising and directing all micro branch activities. This position will manage the Micro branch, have two direct reports and will report directly to the Assistant Vice President. 


What we look for in a potential candidate is someone that is organized, can multi-task, has a willingness to learn and help and, most importantly, can build relationships with our Bluestone FCU members, partners, vendors and staff. 


This is a hands-on role. We are looking for an individual who has worked in the financial industry with experience in lending. They will be responsible for handling all branch operations and being a contributing member of the lending team.  


Hours are typically Monday through Friday 8am-5pm with a rotating Saturday from 8:45am-12:15pm. Normal office environment with occasional travel between locations, must be able to lift, move, carry up to 40 pounds and work in office. 


Company benefits include shared cost for health, dental and vision. The company also provides basic life insurance, short term disability and long-term disability at no cost to the employee. There is a 6% match on 401K contributions (traditional or Roth) and discretionary contributions. All employees start with an accrual of 15 days of Paid Time Off, are eligible for Holiday pay (generally 11 per year) and get their birthday off!


Qualified candidates should have excellent communication skills, be organized, have strong negotiation and closing skill, work well with others, have a high school diploma and be able to pass a background, credit and bondability checks to the company’s satisfaction. 


This position is exempt starting at $59,433.00. 

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare, implement, and supervise the budget for the micro branch that is consistent with the overall strategic plan and budget of the Credit Union.
  • Schedule staff, give performance reviews, and recommend salary adjustments.
  • Assist, train and coach direct reports on how to successfully offer product and services to members, set and track individual and team sales and service goals.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding loan requests and servicing, approve/deny loans within approved limitations, finalize loan documents and disburse funds while adhering to the Loan Policy. 
  • Serve as backup Member Service Representative as needed.
  • Monitor account openings of new &/or existing members, including products & services 
  • Actively participate as a member of the management team to assist the President in the overall management of the Credit Union.
  • Assist with carrying out marketing and business development plans, projects and promotions as directed.
  • Ensure member interactions are handled accurately and professionally and assist in resolving complex member issues and complaints.
  • Ensure compliance with credit union policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform other duties as required by Assistant Vice President, Vice President or President.

Qualifications, Education and Experience Required:

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Business Administration or a related Business Administration field, or GED or equivalent with a minimum two years diversified experience with exposure to management and supervisory techniques and/or activities; or any combination of education, experience and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority
  • Must be bondable by insurance carrier and pass a credit and background check to company’s satisfaction


Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Excellent oral & written communications kills.
  • Typing, 10-key, and computer experience.
  • Ability to effectively supervise employees.
  • Knowledge of loan procedures as well as their laws, rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of loan and member services functions and Credit Union products and policies.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office environment with minimal exposure to dust, noise, etc.
  • Extended periods of sedentary work required
  • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Occasional travel between locations
  • Must work on site at branch location, not a work from home position
