Description

We’re building a better health system! At Nice, we make healthcare accessible by delivering integrated primary, musculoskeletal, and mental health care through convenient in-home and virtual visits. By cutting through the complexity, ineffective management, and time constraints that often limit clinicians, we’re able to focus on what truly matters: high-quality care. Founded and led by Nurse Practitioners (NPs), our mission is simple: make getting everyday care easy and affordable.

At Nice, we’re more than healthcare providers—we’re dedicated partners in our patients’ wellness journeys. Our core values reflect this commitment:

  • Love everyone the way you want to be loved (assume the best)
  • Oops: Safe space to make, own, and learn from mistakes
  • Quality: From peers to patients, 7-star service on a 5-star scale
  • Efficiency: Keep a light foot in a heavy industry
  • High EQ: Intentional about how we show up and communicate
  • Ethical: It’s always the right time to do the right thing

Engineering

Engineering at Nice is a lean, collaborative team where your impact is immediate. We learn, iterate, and build the digital tools that connect our clinicians to our patients. As a Senior Engineer, you’ll be a key contributor to our two primary platforms: our internal clinician web app and our patient facing web experience. You’ll be responsible for ensuring these tools are seamless and reliable, so our technology stays out of the way of the care being delivered.

What you'll do at Nice:

  • Collaborate with Purpose: Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to solve real-world healthcare hurdles.
  • Build & Scale: Design, develop, and maintain robust software. We move fast in an agile continuous delivery environment.
  • Champion Excellence: Conduct design and code reviews to ensure code developed meets or exceeds coding best practices, unit testing, security, scalability, and maintainability guidelines.
  • Mentor & Grow: We’re a “learn from each other” culture. You’ll mentor teammates and, in turn, learn from them.
  • Support the Mission: Respond to support issues during business hours to ensure our clinicians and patients have a frictionless experience.
  • Lead with Transparency: In our remote environment, clear communication is our greatest tool. You enjoy keeping your teammates in the loop and feel empowered to flag blockers early so we can solve them together.
  • Be Agile and Adaptive: We iterate quickly to stay responsive to our patients' needs. You’re comfortable navigating shifting priorities and enjoy the challenge of delivering high-quality work in an evolving environment.
Requirements

What you’ve done before:

  • Experience: You have 3-5+ years of experience developing high-quality, secure, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Tech: You have 3-5+ years of experience with React and Typescript and have a good understanding of how to leverage them to build modular, testable code.
  • Growth Mindset: You possess the humility to own your own work including the mistakes. You thrive in a “safe to fail” culture where we value curiosity and iterative learning over perfect first drafts
  • Communication: You can successfully translate “tech-speak” into understandable language for your non-technical partners.
  • Drive: You’re intellectually curious and have a “7-star service” mindset. You care about the person on the other side of the screen.

What Nice offers to you:

  • 100% remote work environment - work from anywhere in the US
  • Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance
  • 25 Days of PTO that we actively encourage you to use
  • 401k with up to 3% employer contribution
  • Growth and development opportunities
  • Personal and family use of Nice Healthcare (see eligible locations)
  • "Work Soft, Play Soft" Environment - we support you putting your personal life first!
