Description

We are currently seeking a LPN to work under the supervision of a licensed physician to facilitate the delivery of safe and effective non-invasive fluoroscopy procedures, by monitoring the patient during the procedure and post-operatively, continually assessing the patient for potential complications. Additional duties include assisting the patient with paperwork and forms, when necessary; assisting with turnover and sterilization of instruments; assisting in pre- and post-procedure tasks; maintaining inventory of supplies in the procedure room; documentation into EMR.

In this role you will be part of a talented team of professionals that includes: Physicians, Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, X-ray Technicians, and Licensed Practical Nurses.


This is a full-time position. Shifts will be scheduled during the operating hours of the Fluoroscopy Suite, 6:45 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday. Interested applicants must be able to work a flexible schedule based on procedure scheduling.

Requirements
  • Current active Florida LPN license
  • ACLS certification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a hospital, surgery center, or similar outpatient setting.
  • OR experience and/or experience assisting with minor surgical procedures, including pre/post op care.
  • Experience in Autoclave sterilization technique, medication preparation.
  • Strong computer skills to complete accurate documentation in our EMR in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Must be reliable to work shifts between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm. Hours vary weekly based on physician schedules.
  • Able to work well in a high-stress environment, maintaining a level head and professional demeanor at all times with patients and staff. Must be able to work with a variety of personality types.
  • Must be able to independently use clinical judgement to properly assess patients and respond to patient needs.
  • Must have strong time management skills and exercise strong attention to detail in a fast-paced, high-patient-volume setting.

Physical Demands:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
  • Lifting, pulling, and stooping when assisting patients up to 300 lbs.
  • Reaching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
