Director of Nursing (DON) at The Marquardt

The Marquardt, an Illuminus Community, is hiring a Director of Nursing. We are set on a 52-acre campus with rolling green lawns, gorgeous trees and flowers and paved walkways. The Marquardt offers assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as well as independent living options for older adults in Garden Homes and apartments.

Established in 1969, The Marquardt has continued to transform expectations of senior living with ever-evolving and expansive options in Watertown, Wisconsin, conveniently located halfway between Madison and Milwaukee.

Salary: $95,000-$124,000 annual salary, dependent upon experience

Job Type: Full Time, Leadership

Shift: Day Shift with On Call Rotation

Requirements: RN License

As the DON, some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Develop, organize and maintain a standard of nursing practice that is compliant with the company objectives as well as state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Supervise functions, activities and training of nursing personnel.
• Assure quality of care adhering to best practices around inflectional prevention and control provided by the nursing department.
• Develop and maintain standards of nursing practice and policies and procedures and provides oversight of practice.
• Ensure that duties of nursing personnel are clearly defined and assigned to staff consistent with their level of educational preparation, experience and licensure.
• Maintain and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.

• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Wisconsin.
• Knowledge and/or experience in geriatrics.
• Management experience.
• Knowledge and/or experience with state and federal regulations.
