Position Summary
The Sales Reporting Analyst is responsible for extracting, structuring, and analyzing sales and market data to deliver actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the Sales organization. This role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and leadership to identify trends, improve sales performance, and support forecasting and planning efforts.

This role plays a critical part in translating complex data into clear insights that drive growth in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, best suited for someone who thrives in building and evolving analytics capabilities rather than operating within a fully mature function.
Essential Functions
Data Analysis & Insights
- Collect, clean, code, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform business decisions.
- Analyze historical sales and market data to develop insights, narratives, and forecasts that support sales strategy and execution.
Reporting & Visualization
- Build, manage, and maintain custom databases, dashboards, and scorecards leveraging outputs from SPINS, retailer portals, distributor portals, and internal systems.
- Own the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) process that cleans and prepares data for dashboards, automating database creation and publication using tools such as Tableau Prep, Power Query, and Alteryx.
- Create clear, compelling presentations and visualizations that communicate insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
- Support sales planning, customer reviews, and internal performance discussions with timely, accurate reporting.
Data Management & Systems Ownership
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting outputs.
- Manage and maintain data sources including SPINS, retailer portals, distributor portals, and internal systems.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting, ad-hoc analyses, and custom scorecard development.
- Analyze historical data to create internal reports, compelling sales stories and predict future sales performance.
Business Intelligence & Performance Tracking
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and core business metrics.
- Track new product performance, promotional effectiveness, and in-store execution to support optimization of sales and operations.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales analysis, business analytics, or a related role.
- Hands-on experience with SPINS, Circana, or NIQ, retailer databases, distributor portals, and custom POS systems (e.g., Walmart, Kroger); CPG experience required, ideally within food.
- Experience working with household panel data (e.g., Circana, Numerator) preferred.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Tableau, ERP, and shipment data systems is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience with ETL and databasing tools, with preference for Tableau Prep, Power Query, and Alteryx.
- Food or consumer goods manufacturing experience required.
- Position requires travel for meetings and on-site visits.

Compensation is based on the level of experience, other relevant experience, and requirements of the position. The range provided serves only as a guideline and does not automatically qualify all candidates (internal or external) for the high end of the range.
Base Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000
