The Strategic Partnerships Manager is a key role responsible for effectively collaborating and communicating with all departments of the company, including sales, engineering, product management, and marketing, to meet company expectations and help satisfy customer needs. This role also involves communicating results to the executive members of the company and making suggestions on how to better improve the current product set.


Additionally, the Strategic Partnerships Manager plays a pivotal role in strengthening SENKO’s position within the fiber optic ecosystem by enabling and growing strategic relationships across Assembly Shops, Solution Providers, Distributors, System Integrators, and Network Operators.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


Strategic Alignment and Program Development:

  • Understand company strategy and expectations, proactively seeking ways to maximize product profitability.
  • Design and implement partnership programs that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of partnership programs, adjusting as needed to achieve desired outcomes.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partnership-related inquiries and issues.
  • Nurture relationships with strategic ecosystem partners to support their success and drive mutual growth.
  • Foster strategic brand and product placement at customer showrooms, trade shows, webinars, technology suites, publications, and other events.

Collaboration and Coordination:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product managers to ensure alignment and support from partnership programs.
  • Enable collaboration projects, including joint marketing and solution integration, by coordinating internal resources and tracking milestones.
  • Coordinate cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, and Product Management to serve partner needs.
  • Support the Partnership Alliance team in broader initiatives related to ecosystem growth, program evolution, and strategic engagement.

Market Research and Analysis:

  • Identify and prioritize new potential partnerships through market analysis, competitive insight, and alignment with the company’s roadmap.
  • Analyze program data and metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Present partner strategies, opportunities, and risks to senior leadership, supported by data-driven insights and program metrics.

Partner Enablement and Support:

  • Drive partner enablement initiatives, including toolkits, training, co-branded campaigns, and event participation.
  • Maintain a central partner database and dashboard, tracking all partner engagements, co-development efforts, and collaboration outcomes.
  • Develop and present strategic plans and proposals to senior management.
  • Provide assistance on other programs as agreed upon with the Partnership Alliance Team.

Workshops and Marketing:

  • Work with the sales team to target and deploy workshops with strategic partners, including OEMs and Tier 1/2 EUs.
  • Structure quarterly workshops with partners' sales teams, product managers, engineering, procurement, and management.
  • Coordinate presentations, samples, and other collateral needed for successful workshops.
  • Work with the marketing team to develop marketing displays, graphics, and other co-branded materials.
  • Develop a co-op marketing budget program for partnerships to allocate funds from account GP to support the ecosystem budget.
  • Plan and execute speaking engagements with educational content on next-generation.

Requirements

  

Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 8–10+ years of experience in the Fiber optics, telecom, or interconnectivity industry, ideally with exposure to fiber interconnect components, cable assemblies, or passive optical solutions.
  • Proven experience in managing strategic customer or partner relationships, alliance programs, or ecosystem development.
  • Solid understanding of how OEMs, solution providers, and integrators operate, with experience supporting their growth and go-to-market efforts.
  • Strong background in B2B partner engagement, enablement, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Prior exposure to co-development initiatives, technical partnerships, or industry standardization efforts is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to attend customer meetings, workshops, events, and partner engagements globally.
  • Comfortable working independently in a hybrid or remote setup, reporting to global or cross-regional teams.
