Job Description

• Prepares and plates delicious meals for our 50+ elders each day in accordance with planned menus, dietary requirements, and food safety standards 
• Must possess a pleasant personality.
• Follow modified diets as required (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, mechanical soft, pureed)
• Ensure meals are prepared and served on time and in appropriate portions
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies (FIFO)
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and temperatures during preparation and service
• Assist with meal planning and communicate supply needs to the Administrator or supervisor
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas after each shift
• Comply with all facility policies, safety procedures, and resident confidentiality requirements
• Work cooperatively with caregiving staff to support resident needs and preferences
• Requires the ability to work - and think - on your feet.
• Candidates with prior kitchen experience preferred.
