The Blending Operator is responsible for operating equipment and machinery related to the blending of the product as per formulation instructions. This individual must ensure that the quality standards for all products have been met or exceeded, and production volumes continually are met and improved upon. The blending operator is expected to provide feedback and input to help further improve the manufacturing and blending process, helping to exceed quality standards. Expectation to excel in multiple Blending processes/procedures and display a positive attitude while completing tasks. Breaks will be determined by the Production Manager. Overtime and earlier/later working days may be required depending on workload or required tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Operates assigned equipment and machinery within the blending area;
- Setup and operates blending equipment
- Equipment included but not limited to;
- Glass vessels
- V Blenders
- Ozone Generators
- Filter presses
- Emulsifiers
- Loads and cleans equipment, and production areas;
- Loading and discharging of blenders could be physically demanding; requires ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Follow detailed instructions to add the measured raw materials into large blenders;
- Troubleshoots any problems with blending equipment or machinery;
- Cleans assigned equipment and machinery as well as manufacturing areas according to specific guidelines;
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures:
- Works well with others in a team based environment;
- Inspects ingredients, equipment, machinery, and products continuously;
- Identifies and reports any issues to the Production Supervisors;
- Follows all safety policies and procedures at all times;
- Fills out required documentation according to company guidelines and procedures;
- Verification of weights, sanitation, logs, etc;
- Loading various equipment
- Complete’s thorough documentation of Manufacturing paperwork
- Communicates with Production supervisors, management, QC and other departments within the company
- Assists with periodic inventories
- Verifies processes completed by other operators
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time;
- Must be able to follow verbal and written directions;
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in a Production Operator position or job title with similar responsibilities
- High School diploma or GED equivalence
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long period of time
- Must be able to read/write in English
- Must Communicate effectively with all manufacturing personnel
- Must have problem solving skills and/or troubleshooting abilities
