We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric individual to join our team as a Portfolio Leasing Agent. As the Portfolio Leasing Agent, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our properties, with a primary focus on providing exceptional customer service to our prospects and residents. This includes handling leasing inquiries and ensuring a seamless rental experience from start to finish.This is a multi-faceted position that requires a unique set of traits and the ability to adapt to the everchanging work environment, which is one of the many reasons we feel this position is crucial to the success of our properties and Sharpline Communities as a whole.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong customer service background with a genuine passion for creating exceptional resident experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience in hospitality and people-facing customer service 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leasing and Resident Relations:

  • Address prospects' questions and concerns and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Pre-qualify prospects before scheduling showings
  • Coordinate showings with prospect and onsite staff
  • Assist prospective residents with the application process
  • Send lease packet for signature
  • Acquire all pertinent documentation (Renter’s Insurance, Proof of Utilities, etc)
  • Assist with all remote tasks if a property is short-staffed until replacement is hired
  • Assist with lease preparation, collecting required documentation and sending and processing renewals.
  • Generate and provide feedback on leasing reports regularly.
  • Monitor properties online platforms (website, Google, apts.com, etc) and update when needed to ensure accuracy

2. Training and Development:

  • Participate in extensive training programs to further develop a comprehensive understanding of leasing practices.
  • Gain proficiency in leasing procedures, property management software, real-time communications software, and closing techniques.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving industry standards and best practices.
