Trading Operations Support Job Summary

Texas Precious Metals is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Trading Operations Support team member to assist in daily trading operational workflows. This entry-level role is designed to provide foundational exposure to the trading environment while supporting senior traders by relieving administrative burden. The position focuses on clerical accuracy, data entry, document organization, follow-up communication, and ensuring trade-related processes move efficiently and smoothly through the pipeline.

Trading Operations Support Responsibilities

  • Perform data entry for trades, confirmations, invoices, and internal systems
  • Track and follow up on inbound shipments and deliveries of purchased materials
  • Monitor trade settlement timelines and escalate issues or delays
  • Maintain organized trade files, records, and electronic documentation
  • Assist with reconciling purchase and sale confirmations
  • Communicate with logistics providers, vendors, and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Support trading team with daily operational tasks to maintain workflow efficiency
  • Assist in preparing reports and updating department status dashboards
  • All other duties as assigned by management

Trading Operations Support Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational abilities and high attention to detail
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Professional conduct, discretion, and reliability
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-moving environment
  • Willingness to learn financial and trading concepts over time

Trading Operations Support Qualifications

  • Some college coursework preferred; degree in business, finance, economics, or related field helpful
  • Experience in data entry, administrative work, finance, or office operations beneficial
  • Demonstrated dependability, discretion, and professionalism
  • A desire to grow into trading or financial operations over time

Work Environment

Primarily office-based in a professional, climate-controlled environment. May require occasional interaction with vault, logistics, or operations teams.
