Machine Operator – Help Create Snacks People Love


Location: Van Buren, IN

Available Shifts: Day Shift and Night Shift

At Weaver Popcorn Manufacturing, machine operators play a key role in creating snacks that are part of movie nights, family gatherings, and everyday moments. What You’ll Do 

As a Machine Operator, you will help keep production running safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. 

Responsibilities include:  

• Operating and monitoring production and packaging equipment  

• Making machine adjustments to maintain quality and productivity 

• Identifying and addressing issues early to reduce downtime 

• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas  

• Performing quality and food safety checks throughout the shift  

• Communicating clearly with teammates during shift handoffs

Each shift brings variety and new challenges.

Experience is not required. We provide training. What matters most is reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. 


Successful candidates typically:  

• Arrive ready to work and open to learning new skills 

 • Take pride in safety, quality, and doing things right  

• Are comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment  

• Follow safety rules and food quality standards 

 • Communicate effectively with coworkers and leaders


Helpful but not required:  

• Manufacturing or food production experience  

• Mechanical aptitude or interest in troubleshooting  

• Basic computer or data entry skills

Manufacturing or food production experience is helpful but not required.


Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English to perform job duties effectively and safely.

Preferred:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and interpret production schedules, SOPs, and safety documents.
  • Basic math and computer/data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with focus on quality and accuracy.
