POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ride Host at Morgan’s Wonderland serves as a friendly, supportive presence throughout guest-facing areas such as The Wharf, Playground, and Sensory Village. While not responsible for operating rides or performing safety-critical functions, the Ride Host helps create an inclusive, welcoming environment for guests of all ages and abilities.


Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide Guest Assistance: Welcome guests, answer questions, offer directions, and provide general support to ensure a positive and inclusive experience.
  • Monitor Activity Areas: Oversee designated locations such as The Wharf, Playground, and Sensory Village to ensure safe and appropriate guest behavior.
  • Support Accessibility Needs: Offer assistance to guests with varying abilities, including helping with mobility devices, providing guidance, or facilitating inclusive play.
  • Engage with Guests: Encourage participation, create a friendly atmosphere, and promote the park’s mission of inclusive fun for all.
  • Maintain Cleanliness: Keep assigned areas tidy by performing light cleaning, organizing play elements, and reporting any maintenance needs.
  • Enforce Park Guidelines: Politely communicate and uphold rules to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment.
  • Report Issues Promptly: Notify supervisors or appropriate staff of concerns, guest incidents, or hazards.
  • Assist with Crowd Flow: Help manage lines, guide groups, and support orderly movement through activity areas.
  • Demonstrate Professionalism: Represent Morgan’s Wonderland with a positive attitude, dependable work habits, and respectful guest interactions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age: 16 years or older 
  • Customer service skills: Ability to interact positively with guests of all ages and abilities.
  • Communication skills: Clear and friendly verbal communication to provide instructions, answer questions, and support guests.
  • Interpersonal skills: Patience, empathy, and a welcoming attitude consistent with Morgan’s Wonderland’s mission of inclusion.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers, supervisors, and volunteers.
  • Attention to detail: Ability to monitor activity areas and recognize when assistance or intervention is needed.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment and adjusting to changing needs throughout the day.
  • Problem-solving: Ability to address minor guest concerns and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to assigned schedules.
