Technology Writer / Freelance
We are seeking a freelance technology writer. In this role, you'll craft compelling B2B content targeting decision-makers in enterprise IT solutions, from endpoint to infrastructure (HW, SW, networking, servers, storage and services), data center (hybrid cloud, virtualization), digital transformation (IoT, AR/VR), and security (EDM, AI, SOC). The content you create will support strategic visions and messages, be educational and engaging, and resonate with buyers across various verticals. You will be responsible for developing a strong, consistent voice for our clients, aligning your work with defined marketing and brand strategies. Whether it’s short-form copy or long-form thought leadership, your work will be pivotal in building trust and authority for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Writing & Content Development: Crafting and editing compelling, high-quality content for various formats such as white papers, byline articles, case studies, and blogs that align with marketing strategies and resonate with target audiences.
- Technical Writing: Translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and accessible content for a variety of audiences, including solution guides and in-depth solution descriptions.
- Creative Collaboration: Working closely with StudioNorth’s account teams, designers, art directors, and technology/media specialists to develop cohesive creative concepts and messaging.
- Content Strategy Support: Assisting in the development and execution of content strategies to ensure all written materials are aligned with overarching business goals and marketing initiatives.
- Brand Consistency: Ensuring all content aligns with the client's tone, style, and branding while also
- Industry Expertise: Demonstrating a deep understanding of IT buyer personas, market trends, and competitive landscapes to produce content that speaks directly to the needs of the technology market.
About you:
- IT Writing Experience: Minimum of three years of writing and content development for an IT audience within a B2B sales cycle. Agency experience preferred.
- Versatility: Proven ability to create content for various formats and channels, including white papers, websites, social media, trade shows, and video projects.
- Thought Leadership: Ability to translate complex product and service value propositions into effective, compelling content that establishes thought leadership.
- Writing Skills: Strong foundational writing skills with the capability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and demographics.
- Creativity: A creative approach to brainstorming and collaboration, contributing innovative ideas to content development.
- Time Management: Ability to estimate time requirements accurately and meet established deadlines and budgets.
- Collaboration: A strong sense of ownership combined with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
