What You'll Do
As our Human Resources Generalist, you'll partner closely with the HR Manager to support the entire employee lifecycle while helping ensure our HR operations remain organized, compliant, and employee-focused.
Your responsibilities will include:
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Coordinate recruiting activities including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Prepare onboarding documents and ensure a smooth first-day experience for new hires.
- Maintain recruiting files and current job descriptions.
- Coordinate and track required employee training and maintain accurate training records.
HR Administration & Employee Support
- Maintain employee records and personnel files with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
- Administer employee information within Paylocity.
- Assist employees with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping questions.
- Support benefit enrollments, qualifying life events, and employee inquiries.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Review employee timecards for accuracy before payroll processing.
- Work with employees and supervisors to resolve timekeeping discrepancies.
- Monitor attendance trends and ensure timely employee and supervisor approvals.
Temporary Workforce Coordination
- Coordinate temporary employee onboarding and assignments.
- Monitor eligibility for conversion to regular employment.
- Partner with staffing agencies and department managers to support workforce needs.
Compliance & HR Operations
- Support compliance with California employment laws and federal regulations.
- Assist with I-9 administration, ACA reporting, EEO reporting, training compliance, and HR audits.
- Prepare reports and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes.
Employee Relations
- Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.
- Escalate sensitive employee relations matters to the HR Manager as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintains strict confidentiality of employee information and HR records.
- Participates in cross-functional HR projects and process improvement efforts as assigned.
- Demonstrates consistent reliability in attendance and adherence to established work schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in Human Resources; internship or prior HR support experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of HR functions, processes, and employment law.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Paylocity or other HRIS is preferred.
- Ability to manage routine HR matters independently and escalate issues appropriately.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of Human Resources experience.
- Experience using HRIS systems (Paylocity experience is a plus).
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Manufacturing or industrial environment experience.
- Cal/OSHA knowledge.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
