As our Youth Engagement & Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for the execution of on-site Pistons Academy youth programming for kids in grades K- 12. Basketball camps, clinics, leagues etc. Also responsible for supporting the operations Coordinator in the facilitation of all Pistons Academy youth basketball programs and events.

What you'll be doing:
- Execute on court Pistons Academy programming; from set-up to tear-down (30 – 150 kids).
- On-site Facilitator and host of Pistons Academy leagues.
- On-site Facilitator and host of Pistons Academy Summer camp programming.
- Host Pistons Academy school assembly programming.
- Coordinate and facilitate on-court basketball clinics and experiences as needed.
- Coordinate Pistons Academy game-day/in-arena experiences and promotional opportunities.
- Support all company wide-initiatives that overlap into PA programming (G-League, sponsorship camps, etc).
- Manage and maintain consistent record on all PA inventory.
- Assist in providing content for all PA social channels (Tik Tok, Instagram).
- Assist the Operations Coordinator in fulfilling all obligations regarding contracts, waivers, and certificates of insurance, etc.
- Utilize software to assist the operations Coordinator with registration for all Pistons Academy Events.
- Assist the operations Coordinator with the prompt response to PA hotline and emails within 24 hours of each message during business hours – as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Sports/Event or Business Management, Public Relations, Communications or related fields.
- Ability to command a room of kids 100+ kids, parents, fans.
- Must be experienced in public speaking and leadership.
- Experience in facilitating and hosting basketball camps on a large scale.
- High level of basketball rule comprehension as well as knowledge of the game.
- Ability to run a youth basketball league from start to finish (team selection, game scheduling etc.).
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
- Comfortable in a strongly collaborative environment, while still being a self-starter.
- Exceptional professionalism and polish in demeanor and appearance.
- Strong attention to detail, timelines, and organization.
- Able to work extended hours, including events at night and weekend.
