Description
St. James Catholic Church in St. Joseph, Missouri is seeking a part time Administrative Assistant to work mornings. This position will be responsible for a full range of administrative and secretarial responsibilities for members of the parish and school staff and other committees and boards. This is a part time position working an average of 20 hours a week.
Essential Duties:
- Greet visitors and answer phones.
- Maintain office record keeping systems.
- Schedule appointments, process mail, and type letters, reports and memos.
- Provide clerical support to pastor and staff members.
- Perform basic office duties, i.e., maintaining office supplies, cleaning, etc.
- Prepare the weekly bulletin.
- Maintains sacramental record-keeping system.
- Provide a variety of other clerical services.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Previous experience as Administrative Assistant/Secretary.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with the Catholic understanding of ministry is an asset.
