Description

Essential   Duties and Responsibilities:

The Pellet   Plant Lead assists in managing the day-to-day operations of the Pellet Plant.   

· Work in Food Grade   Processing plant.

· Handle product   from 200-lbs bales to 50-lbs boxes.

· Provide leadership   for and direct staff.

· During and after   training, will operator equipment in processing plant.

· Inspect product,   take samples, and do QC tests. 

· Must be able to   pass forklift certification and operate equipment at superior level loading   material onto trucks, moving pallets, boxes and packaging equipment within   warehouse.

· Assist in   overseeing all phases of processing, packaging,   sanitation and maintenance management within the facility. 

· Trains,   leads, motivates, and supervises Pellet Plant personnel. 

· Enforce   safety policies and procedures.

· Address   problems with work quality, issues with employees and other concerns in an   effective, timely manner. 

· Maintain   open lines of communication between employees and management.

· Understands   and collaborates with management in supporting the plant goals to include;   production efficiency, staffing and safety. 

· Reviews   and critiques proposed changes to standards, policies, or processing details.   

· Ensures positive   recognition is occurring for good performance. 

· Performs   other related duties as directed.

Requirements

Experience,   Education, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: 

· Experience   leading teams in a manufacturing or similar environment. 

· Experience in managing schedules, workflow,   safety personnel and equipment. 

· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license required.

QUALIFICATIONS   AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

· High school diploma or equivalent   preferred.

· Valid state motor vehicle operator’s   license for forklift required.

· Valid Driver’s License with clean   driving record.

· Available to work all shifts: Days,   Swings, and Graveyard.

· Ability to work overtime as required.

· Excellent verbal and written   communication skills.

· Excellent organizational skills and   attention to detail.

· Basic understanding of or ability to   quickly learn company product codes and terminology.

· Thorough understanding of warehouse   policies and procedures.

· Good analytical skills and ability to   make sound judgments relative to inventory.

 

Physical   Requirements: 

· Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential   job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and   local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative   productivity standards. 

· Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance   consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. 

· Ability to perform repetitive and physical demanding   tasks for extended periods (lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing,   pushing, pulling, twisting and stooping). 

· Must be able to work in a fast paced, loud, and labor-intensive   environment in variable temperatures (from outdoor heat to indoor   refrigerated coolers). 

· Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Salary Description
$22.00-$26.00 per hour
