Account Executive
Description


MeatEater, Inc. is seeking a highly-motivated salesperson to join our team as an Account Executive, who will help drive growth across our Partnerships portfolio. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record packaging, pitching, and closing multimedia sponsorships. This experience should also include an in-depth knowledge of the digital media landscape – branded content sales in particular, Connected TV a plus – and creatively leveraging premium brands and influencers to optimize for client investment goals. Candidates must offer a deep network beyond outdoor media, as this role will further MeatEater’s growth beyond endemic hunt, fish, and camp categories. Finally, candidates must possess a self-starter mindset that takes accountability for every step of a sales process, from preparing pitch materials to leading post-campaign recaps. 


This role reports to the VP of Media Sales and can be either based in Bozeman, MT or in a remote capacity.  


Requirements
  • Evangelize MeatEater across the media buying landscape, secure RFPs from non-endemic advertisers, and close new growth partnerships 
  • Create content sales packages, formalizing everything from pricing to collateral creation, with particular focus on video (e.g., branded content, Connected TV, etc.)
  • Lead client pitches both independently and alongside MeatEater leadership 
  • Support account management from kickoff calls to client reporting and campaign post mortem process 
  • Partner closely with Finance and Accounting on financial forecasting, invoicing, and payment collection 
  • Other duties as beneficial to MeatEater

What you’ll do:

  • Identify, pitch, and close opportunities with brand and agency partners that seek deeper access to the growing multimedia MeatEater audience
  • Lead and support outreach, prospecting, and pitch preparation
  • Manage post-sale execution: coordinate creative assets, track campaign performance, and assist with reporting and client communication
  • Partner with Podcast, Production, and other internal teams to ensure exceptional delivery
  • Work closely with sales leadership to move deals through the pipeline, prepare for key meetings, and support closing opportunities

What we’re looking for:

  • Min. 7 years of experience in media sales, sales development, account coordination, media buying, or related roles
  • Existing network in premium non-endemic advertiser categories (e.g., Auto, Financial Services, Travel) with both agency and client-direct contacts
  • Deep knowledge of multimedia advertising landscape, including podcast, longform video, Connected TV, social media, and live events 
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to craft clear, compelling sales materials
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing multiple priorities
  • Interest in outdoor, hunting, fishing, or lifestyle media is a plus
