Concept Solutions is hiring for a Senior Systems Engineer (FAA SETTS Program) provide systems engineering and technical support services for the FAA Systems Engineering and Technical Support Services (SETTS) Program, supporting both National Airspace System (NAS) and business-oriented IT systems. This role supports FAA Air Transportation Support activities across operational locations, including facility maintenance, system modifications, remediation efforts, and equipment repair. Research and Development (R&D) support may also be required.

This position is ideal for a senior-level engineer with FAA systems experience who can develop high-quality systems engineering documentation and contribute across the system lifecycle.

• Provide engineering services supporting NAS systems and FAA business IT systems 
• Support Air Transportation operational locations, including: 
  • Facility maintenance and remediation 
  • System modifications and upgrades 
  • Equipment repair and sustainment activities
• Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including but not limited to: 
  • Concept of Operations (CONOPS) 
  • Functional Requirements Documents (FRD) 
  • Verification Requirements Traceability Matrices (VRTM) 
• Operational Services and Environment Definitions (OSED)
• Support R&D activities as required under the SETTS program 
• Collaborate with cross-functional FAA stakeholders and technical teams 
• Provide clear technical documentation and program planning support

Salary: $140K to $160K

Core Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of or experience with the FAA Acquisition Management System (AMS) 
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture and Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) 
• Strong data analysis capabilities 
• Working knowledge of probability and statistics at the undergraduate level 
• Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills in Microsoft Excel 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills 
• Technical writing experience using Microsoft Word 
• Experience supporting program planning and execution
   

Preferred Qualifications

• Aviation experience as a pilot or air traffic controller
• Knowledge of Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
• OMG SysML certification preferred
• Education & Experience Requirements
• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Science
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant engineering experience 
• A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered, provided the experience requirement is met
