Receptionist – Xiente (Philadelphia)
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for families, staff, visitors, and community partners at Xiente. This role supports the organization’s mission by providing a welcoming, organized, and professional front-desk experience. The Receptionist ensures smooth daily operations by managing communication, assisting with administrative tasks, and maintaining a positive, service-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet visitors, families, and staff in a warm, professional manner.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries.
- Maintain visitor logs, sign-in procedures, and front-desk security protocols.
- Assist with scheduling, appointment reminders, and distributing information to families and staff.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, copying, and data entry.
- Receive and sort mail, packages, and internal documents.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
- Provide support to program staff, HR, and leadership as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and follow all organizational policies, including HIPAA and child-safety requirements.
Requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in customer service, reception, or administrative support preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and manage a busy front desk.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, scheduling tools).
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with diverse families and community members.
- Required clearances: Child Abuse, Criminal History, and FBI.
Salary Description
$16.35 per hour (approximately $34,008 annually)
