Stud Welder (Fabrication Tech)
Description
  • Title: Fab Tech – Stud Welder
  • Days: Monday–Friday
  • Hours: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Pay Rate: $25/hour

The duties listed below are intended as a guide for the employee in this position. They are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be required during the course of employment.


LICENSES:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Welding Certification (TBD)

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Work is performed in a steel fabrication environment, both internally and externally
  • Position is exposed to multiple climate conditions
  • PPE required: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, and hearing protection (designated areas)

SKILLS:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines for work completion
  • Ability to assume responsibility for all required documentation
  • Ability to train customers on the stud welding process including setup, production, and quality control
  • Strong reading skills
  • Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer, and calipers proficiently
Requirements

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to make sound judgments
  • Ability to interpret orders, forms, prints, and documents, and take appropriate action

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver, set up, and operate multiple types of stud welding machines
  • Troubleshoot and repair stud welding equipment for TSA Manufacturing and customer locations
  • Provide preventative maintenance to the assigned customer list on a routine basis
  • Identify sales opportunities through L.A.E.R. (Listen, Acknowledge, Explore, Respond)
  • Maintain records of customer site visits and report information back to management via call report summaries
  • Assist the Fabrication Department as directed by management
  • Accurately complete Quality Traceability Cards and Material Exchange Sheets
  • Maintain and keep track of all required hand tools
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and adjustments as required
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
  • Assist other workers with production-related tasks as assigned
  • Safely move materials using powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, and overhead cranes
  • Ensure guards are returned to their intended positions after cleaning and maintenance
  • Consistently arrive at work on time and remain engaged throughout the entire scheduled shift

  • Maintains acceptable attendance with minimal tardiness
  • Demonstrates team-player efforts with coworkers and management
  • All forms and paperwork are properly completed and maintained
  • Follows all company standard policies and procedures with minimal deviation
