Rock-Walworth Comprehensive Family Services, Inc. (RWCFS), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit serving Rock and Walworth County communities in southern Wisconsin. The Executive Director articulates the vision for RWCFS and formulates long range goals, business practices, and policies that align with this vision. Provides leadership and direction toward the achievement of measurable grant and community outcomes as well as fiscal objectives. Establishes and maintains relationships and partnerships with RWCFS constituencies throughout the region to build effective working relationships. Develops and effectively manages an organization of diverse and talented professionals. Functions as liaison between RWCFS grantors and regulatory agencies to ensure adherence to contracts and guidelines. Supervises a management team, including coaching and monitoring performance, conducting regular performance evaluations, and providing opportunities for professional development.
RWCFS seeks a professional leader experienced in early education and/or family services who has the ability to develop community and organizational capacity for change and measured results. The ideal Executive Director will possess a demonstrated track record of effective management, including leading and developing a diverse team of mission-driven professionals. He or she must have experience articulating a compelling vision for the future of an organization dedicated to improving school success for low income, high risk young children, and marshaling relationships and resources to effectively and efficiently achieve that vision. The selected candidate will have extensive experience in planning, financial management, and achievement of goals for an organization with a multi-million dollar budget; ideally with a grants administration basis.
As the position reports to a diverse Board of Directors, the next RWCFS leader will possess significant experience within a nonprofit governance structure, either in a reporting relationship or as a member of multiple boards. RWCFS is a visible organization in the community, requiring an executive skilled in the areas of government relations, public relations, community collaboration, and media relations. The successful candidate will serve frequently as RWCFS’s spokesperson, and will also need to lead others in community-focused service, communication, and issues management.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
