Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a PCU Oncology Float assignment in Columbus, Ohio. This role supports a high-acuity oncology population across multiple specialized units within a comprehensive cancer center.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong PCU or stepdown experience who are comfortable floating across oncology-focused units. The role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to manage complex patient populations including hematology and oncology cases.

SCHEDULE
• Night shift, 3x12 (1900–0730)
• Self-scheduling (no block scheduling)
• Weekend requirements vary based on unit needs

CONTRACT DETAILS
• Start Date: February 23, 2026
• Duration: 13–16 weeks
• Number of Openings: 1

COMPENSATION
• Total Weekly Gross: $2,359
• Pay package includes taxable hourly wages and tax-free stipends when applicable
• Locals accepted at same rate

UNIT OVERVIEW
• James Clinical Resource Unit (Float Pool)
• Comprehensive Cancer Center (318 acute care beds)
• Units specialized by cancer diagnosis
• Adult and geriatric patient population

FLOATING ASSIGNMENTS MAY INCLUDE
• BMT
• Acute Leukemia
• Hematology
• Medical Oncology
• PCU Oncology
• Gynecological Oncology
• Urology
• Colorectal
• Surgical Oncology
• Corrections Healthcare

STAFFING RATIOS
• PCU: 1:3 (may flex to 1:4)
• Med/Surg Tele: 1:4 (may flex to 1:5)

CLINICAL FOCUS
• Infection prevention protocols
• Fall prevention and patient safety
• High-acuity oncology and telemetry monitoring

• Minimum 2 years high-acuity PCU experience or higher REQUIRED
• Ability to float to Med/Surg and PCU Oncology units REQUIRED
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS REQUIRED
• Strong telemetry skills and dysrhythmia interpretation REQUIRED
• Experience with blood products, central lines, and IV therapy REQUIRED
• Epic charting experience REQUIRED
• Active compact or Ohio RN license REQUIRED at submission
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program REQUIRED

• Oncology experience preferred
• OCN or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification preferred
