Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for a Medical-Surgical / Progressive Care (MS/PCU) Ortho Neuro Spine assignment in Columbus, Ohio.

This role supports post-operative orthopedic and neuro spine patients in a mixed-acuity unit within a specialized brain and spine hospital setting.

POSITION OVERVIEW
This opportunity is ideal for nurses with strong Med-Surg and PCU experience who are comfortable managing post-surgical patients, telemetry monitoring, and progressive care workflows in a structured, high-acuity environment.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12 (19:00–07:30)
• Schedule: Every other weekend, rotating holidays
• Patient Population: Adult and adolescent
• Unit: Ortho Neuro Spine (MS/PCU)
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required within equivalent or lower acuity units

COMPENSATION
• Gross: $2,359 per week
• W2: $24.50 per hour
• Tax-Free Stipend: $1,477 per week

CLINICAL FOCUS
• Post-operative orthopedic and spine patients
• Neuro spine surgical recovery
• Total joint replacements (hip and knee)
• Telemetry monitoring
• Mobility and recovery progression

UNIT HIGHLIGHTS

• Strong surgical case mix exposure
• Ideal for MS/PCU nurses advancing into higher acuity care

• Minimum 2 years RN experience REQUIRED
• MS/PCU experience REQUIRED
• Telemetry experience REQUIRED
• BLS REQUIRED
• ACLS preferred
• Ability to float within equivalent or lower acuity units REQUIRED
• Valid Ohio or compact RN license REQUIRED at submission
• Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
