OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Test Engineer is a challenging and critical position. This position is highly energetic requiring significant multi-tasking and exceptional communication skills across many aspects of the business. The Test Engineer will be responsible for the functions and experiences listed below.

· Support program specific test equipment and test procedure development.

· Develop and improve test processes; align products with proper test methods, test equipment, and potential suppliers. 

· Be well versed in customer requirements such as technical, schedule, cost, and required documentation. 

· Be an internal advisor to product design engineers and participate in the product development reviews with engineers, program teams, and our customers.

· Design and specify test equipment to test linear/rotary actuators and electric motors to meet customer requirements.

· Specify and implement product specific test procedures for development, certification, and acceptance testing.

· Develop and improve test methods with the help of the Product Design Engineers, Quality, and A&T technicians.

· Understand and comply all government regulations, best practice industry standards, and specific customer flow downs. 

· Have a high level of communication and cooperation with Program Management, Design and Manufacturing Engineers, A&T, Quality, and Operations in the company.

· Have a role in facilities growth, modifications, and expansion. 

· Have a collaborative team-based approach.

· Other duties as assigned by manager.


Requirements

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· B.S. in Engineering field or significant related experience of 5+ years.

· Exceptional problem solving and organizational skills.

· Excellent communicate skills both written and orally.

· Ability to present technical information to individuals and small cross functional groups.

· U.S. Citizen, no dual citizenship allowed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Knowledge of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM.

· Knowledge of certification/qualification testing per DO-160/MIL-STD-810/MIL-STD-704.

· Experience with environmental, vibration, & EMI testing.

· Experience specifying sensors for test equipment (force, pressure, distance, rotation, etc.).

· Knowledge of data acquisition hardware and software.

· Experience with Labview or PLC programming.

· Ability to deal with complex hardware, hardware specifications, manufacturing methods & procedures, manufacturing quality, product development, supplier development/evaluation.

· Understanding of the requirements of AS9100.

· Knowledge of aerospace traceable configuration management techniques & hardware control requirements.

· The knowledge and ability to utilize basic inspection equipment.

· History with small to mid-sized companies with a high mix low volume market.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND VISUAL DEMANDS

· Standard office environment; occasional exposure to manufacturing plant noise/temperature, requiring PPE.

· Frequent speaking, listening, and computer use.

· Vision requirements include depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Salary Description
$90,000 - $110,000.00
