Position Summary 

The IT Intern will work closely with Vertosoft’s IT Team to support daily technology operations related to device management, user support, and office technology. This hands-on internship provides exposure to enterprise IT systems, hardware provisioning, compliance practices, and help desk workflows. 

The role offers a blend of technical support and cross-functional learning, including collaboration with the Development Intern and Development Team to support system documentation, workflow support, and technical projects. This position is ideal for candidates seeking real-world experience in corporate IT, systems administration, and business technology. 


Key Responsibilities


IT Operations & Device Management 

  • Provision, configure, and deploy laptops, peripherals, and workstations for new hires and existing employees. 
  • Assist with user and device management in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Microsoft Intune
  • Support hardware lifecycle management, including inventory tracking, procurement assistance, and device refreshes. 
  • Help administer office technology, shared equipment, and physical IT infrastructure. 

User Support & Help Desk 

  • Provide first-level support for basic technical issues, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and access-related requests. 
  • Triage and route help desk tickets to appropriate IT team members as needed. 
  • Assist with documentation of common IT issues and support procedures. 

Cross-Functional & Development Collaboration 

  • Collaborate with the Development Intern and Development Team on cross-functional initiatives to ensure continuity of work and operational flexibility. 
  • Support tasks related to system and workflow documentation. 
  • Assist with technical projects, which may include exposure to:  
  • API integration or construction 
  • Workflow design and documentation 
  • Database design concepts 
  • UI/UX design support 
  • Low-code or no-code development tools 

Required Qualifications 

Education 

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 

Technical Skills & Experience 

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems, and common business software. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, user account management, or device provisioning is a plus. 
  • Strong interest in enterprise IT systems, support processes, and technology operations. 

Core Skills 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to follow documented processes and learn new systems quickly. 
  • Clear communication skills and a customer-service mindset. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Exposure to or interest in cloud identity, endpoint management, or IT administration tools. 
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems or help desk workflows. 
  • Interest in systems development, automation, or business applications. 
  • Prior internship, coursework, or lab experience in IT or technology support.
