Role Overview

We are seeking a Remote BIM Engineer (Electrical) to support a new construction project focused on electrical conduit and basket tray pathway systems. Most electrical drawings and pathway layouts have already been completed. The primary responsibility of this role is model validation, clash detection, and redesign coordination when conflicts are identified.

This position will work under the guidance of an assigned BIM Manager, with scope and workload adjusted as needed based on the candidate’s skill set and project demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and validate existing electrical BIM models for conduit and basket tray pathways
• Perform clash detection and coordination across disciplines
• Redesign conduit or tray routing as required to resolve clashes
• Coordinate changes with the BIM Manager and other trade modelers
• Maintain accurate model revisions and documentation
• Ensure models include fabricator-level metadata (LOD 400 where applicable)
• Support coordination workflows using a network-managed AutoCAD and BIM environment

Modeling Requirements

• Electrical models must include fabricator-level metadata
• Accurate conduit sizing, routing, elevations, and tray systems
• Coordination-ready models suitable for construction and prefabrication workflows

Project Details

• Project operates on Mountain Standard Time (MST)
• Remote role supporting a specific, active construction project
• Works directly with a dedicated BIM Manager overseeing the project

Candidate Profile

• Strong experience with electrical BIM modeling for new construction
• Proficient in conduit and cable tray pathway coordination
• Comfortable working in clash-heavy, coordination-focused environments
• Able to work independently while following BIM Manager direction
• Strong attention to detail and documentation standards
