The Business Development individual seeks new opportunities with existing customers and gets end users and other influential players in data center markets qualified with Senko products. The Business Development individual builds relationships with strategically targeted accounts and develops Senko’s brand recognition in the assigned market. The Business Development individual engages in a variety of tasks including project management, coordination, strategic planning, relationship management, negotiation, leadership, and innovative development of opportunities. The tasks may include working with product design and application, logistics, sales support, and marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Good understanding of company strategy, expectations, and seeks future business opportunities in the assigned market
  • Promote the company’s strategic products to customers
  • Establishes productive and professional relationships with key personnel in target accounts.
  • Identify opportunities and respond with solution / proposal
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of customer needs and ensure inclusion in all connectivity-related inquiries
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
  • Meet assigned targets for strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Proactively leads a joint company-strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one and three-year period.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • After spec-in, make sure to support relevant customers (CMs) and Salespeople in charge, for smooth project transition from Spec-in to receiving order and delivery.
  • Lead solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary Global company personnel.
  • Closely coordinates company executive involvement with customer management
  • Stay up to date on new technologies, market events/conditions affecting the industry and ultimately grows the company’s presence and increase revenue
  • Represent the company at the industry trade show and events
  • Developing and delivering presentation of data center market intelligence to internal and external stakeholders
  • Travel to customer sites to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate and participate in the internal meetings with the team across the different time zones, mainly for Asia.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience
  • 5+ years’ experience with fiber interconnect components, structured cabling, or physical layer infrastructure required, specifically in data centers environment required
  • Experience in direct sales to OEM’s, developing territories and new business required
  • Ability to travel 50%, including internationally, to support sales, customer engagements, and trade shows required
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), with additional knowledge of project management software and CRM tools being a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams, including R&D, engineering, marketing, and sales.

Salary Description
$85,000 - $125,000 per year
