America’s Auto Auction
Location: Remote within region (30–50% travel to auctions)
Reports to: VP, Operations Finance
America’s Auto Auction is one of the largest automotive remarketers in the U.S., connecting dealers with inventory through a nationwide network of physical and digital auctions. We’re investing in new technology, data, and talent to drive the next stage of growth—and Operational Finance is at the center of that effort.
Role Overview
The Regional Finance Manager is the key finance partner for a group of auctions within a region. You will combine forward-looking financial planning, business modeling, performance analysis, and capital analysis to help Regional VPs and General Managers improve results.
This role is highly operational: you’ll spend time in the lanes, in the numbers, and with leaders—translating data into clear actions that drive profitability, labor efficiency, transportation savings, and reduction in policy loss.
What You’ll Do
Performance & Business Analysis
· Own the financial performance view for your region and develop concise performance packs for each auction.
· Turn reports and BI dashboards into clear insights, trends, and recommended actions for RVPs and GMs.
Operational Finance & Cost Savings
· Identify and quantify savings opportunities in labor, transportation, and policy loss.
· Partner with Operations, HR, and Transportation to design changes, model impact, and track realized benefits.
Capital & ROI Analysis
· Support decisions on customers, facilities, and capital projects with ROI, payback, and scenario analysis.
· Provide risk & opportunity views so leaders understand trade-offs before committing.
Business Partner & Influencer
· Serve as a trusted advisor to Regional VPs and General Managers, challenging constructively when needed.
· Help create a push-driven model where leaders receive focused insights instead of digging through reports themselves.
What You Bring
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
· 6–10+ years of experience in Finance/FP&A/Operational Finance.
· Experience in a multi-site, operationally intensive environment (automotive, logistics, retail, distribution, manufacturing, etc.) preferred.
· Proven record of driving measurable performance improvement or cost savings, not just reporting results.
· Strong financial modeling and analysis skills; comfortable with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and operational data.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority and translate financials into operator-friendly language.
· Willingness to travel 30–50% within the region.
How You Work
· High integrity, strong sense of ownership, and bias for action.
· Comfortable in a fast-growing, low-bureaucracy environment.
· Curious, forward-looking, and energized by partnering directly with operations to improve results.
