We currently have an opening for a Senior Corporate Accountant for Industrial Physics in our Greenwood Village, CO location.


JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Corporate Accountant will be responsible for key corporate and financial reporting tasks in a global business. Possess a deep understanding of US GAAP and its application, communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and be adaptable.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Builds accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP and Industrial Physics global accounting policies.

• Prepares consolidation journal entries, eliminations and/or variance analyses for financial statements and other financial information.

• Maintains accurate schedules for key account balances, including goodwill, intangible assets, debt, lease accounting (ASC 842) and equity.

• Researches new accounting standards, document findings, and recommend practical updates for adoption.

• Assists in various business combination, valuation, and technical accounting workflows.

• Designs templates for global, company-wide requests for information to support the company’s financial reporting and coordinates the information gathering on a company-wide basis.

• Supports external annual audits, sales tax, and income tax return filings through the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.

• Leads and contributes to ad hoc projects in response to evolving accounting and business needs.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills in routine and complex tasks

• Able to evaluate current processes and make recommended process enhancements or improvements

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, across all levels of the organization.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and timely financial data.

• Able to prioritize and manage multiple complex tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment at one time

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Participate in problem-solving and improvement teams.

• Must be flexible and available for overtime where necessary, particularly during month-end close, as well as the ability to effectively work in the office or remotely (hybrid available).


TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. CPA preferred. Relevant work experience to be considered.

• Experience working with various ERP and accounting software, including NetSuite, QuickBooks, Excel (PowerQuery), AP Automation platforms, Avalara, and Planful will be given preference.

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS/IAS, complex financial statements, and accounting principles.

• A minimum of 5-years prior general accounting experience or 3 years of public accounting experience required.

• Experience working in a manufacturing accounting environment preferred.
