The Driver is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for senior adults between their residences and Heritage at The J and transportation for school age children from 3 local schools to The J. The Driver will use a company-provided vehicle, which may be a passenger van or mini-coach.
Schedule:
- Part-Time, Mon - Fri approximately 12:15pm to 4:30pm, based on need
- Flexibility to cover additional hours is also helpful

Responsibilities
- Transport senior adults between their residences and Heritage at The J as well as after school children from 3 local elementary schools to The J
- Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers upon pick-up and drop-off
- Maintain compliance with state regulations regarding the lawful operation of a motor vehicle
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, inside and out
- Monitor service schedules for vehicles and inform Heritage director when service is needed
- Monitor fuel levels of company vehicles, purchase fuel as needed and follow all policies for using company purchase card
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Age 21 or over
- At least 3 years of experience safely operating a personal or commercial vehicle
- Valid driver license with classification appropriate to operate company vehicles and valid auto insurance
- CDL preferred, but not required
- Clean driving record with no moving violations within the past three years
- Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations for the State of Kansas
- Must be able to safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions
- Ability to work with senior adults and provide excellent customer service with kindness, patience and concerns for safety at all times
Physical Requirements
- Position requires travel outdoors in company vehicle, therefore tolerance to extremes of heat and cold weather is necessary.
- Position requires occasional bending, squatting, sitting, standing, pulling, pushing, lifting, and moving items that may weigh up to 25 lbs.
