Summary

This position will assist in maintaining technical documentation for ingredients & products, collect data from trials/product runs and coordinate sample shipments. This position will support R&D Product Development & Regulatory. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

· Gathering and shipment of ingredients, pre-scales, and customer samples. Ensure samples are good quality and packed well for shipment.

· Maintain sample database & communicate shipping status to sales/requestors.

  • Gather      accurate data for evaluating product quality and operational      performance. Assist in plant trials      and first productions as required. 
  • Track first productions of new plant      start up to ensure all products are gathered and shipped to customers for      first production approvals.
  • Coordinate sample gathering if off shift      with production, shipping or QA. 
  • Data entry for evaluating trial data.
  • Help to provide customer specifications      through customer portals.
  • Liaison with suppliers to obtain required      ingredient documentation and maintain through computer systems such as      Trace Gains. Ensure departmental      reviews are completed in Trace Gains. 
  • Product specifications updates as      assigned by Product Developers. Ensure BOMs are updated to match. 
  • Maintain samples and other departmental      metrics & generate reports monthly.
  • Maintains safe and clean working      environment by following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Keeps key stakeholders informed when      issues arise. 
  • Work with dry ice to pack & ship      samples. Dry ice training is      provided. 
  • When required, drive to obtain dry ice or      drop off sample shipments to couriers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Some weekend and/or hours outside regular      operating hours may be required infrequently.
Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Good communication skills. 

· Computer Skills- MS Office.

· Excellent organizational, attention to detail and time management skills. 

· Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, ability to execute multiple

tasks and meeting deadlines.

· A positive, “can do” attitude and team oriented.

· Valid Driver’s License.

· Food plant experience would be an asset. QA experience an asset.

· Spanish would be an asset.

Salary Description
65,000 - 80,000 DOE
