 We are a rapidly growing national commercial general contractor seeking an experienced Construction Administrator to support our project teams on active commercial construction projects. This role is ideal for a candidate with 1–2 years of construction administration or project coordination experience who is ready to take on increased responsibility and grow within a dynamic environment.

What You’ll Do

As a Construction Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting project execution by managing administrative, procurement, and coordination functions, including:

  • Supporting procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services
  • Preparing and managing purchase orders and subcontract documentation
  • Assisting with contract administration, change orders, and compliance tracking
  • Assisting with managing and tracking submittals, shop drawings, and project documentation
  • Coordinating permitting, inspections, and approvals with local authorities
  • Communicating with suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, and internal teams
  • Maintaining accurate project records and document control systems
  • Assisting with project closeout documentation and turnover

You will support multiple projects simultaneously and work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and subcontractors in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1–2 years of experience in construction administration, project coordination, or similar role (commercial construction preferred)
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, contracts, and terminology
  • Experience supporting procurement, submittals, and contract documentation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Experience working for a commercial general contractor
  • Familiarity with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, or Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Experience coordinating permits and inspections
  • Interest in building a career in commercial construction
