Job purpose
The Director of International Sales is a strategic global leadership role responsible for driving international revenue growth, expanding market penetration, and accelerating IMMY’s global presence. This leader develops and executes the strategies that position IMMY as the worldwide leader in fungal diagnostics.
Key responsibilities include leading a high-performing global sales organization, strengthening distributor and partner relationships, and identifying and advancing high-value market opportunities. The Director works closely with cross-functional teams—including Marketing, Business Development, Product Development, and Regulatory Affairs—to ensure successful product adoption and execution across diverse international markets.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in international sales, a strong medical diagnostics background, and a proven track record of delivering significant growth in global markets. This role requires exceptional leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments across multiple regions.
Ultimately, the Director of International Sales acts as a core driver of IMMY’s mission to improve global health outcomes by expanding access to accurate, reliable fungal diagnostic solutions worldwide.
Key duties and responsibilities
Leadership, Management, Accountability (LMA)
· Leads, develops, and holds accountable a team of regional managers across 5 global regions.
· Builds a high-performance global sales culture with consistent execution of IMMY’s sales process.
· Provides ongoing coaching, performance management, and skill development.
· Champions IMMY’s Core Values and exemplifies collaborative, humble, and driven leadership.
Focus: Market Penetration & Distributor Success
· Recruits, enables, and manages distributor partners across all regions.
· Sets clear performance expectations and holds distributors accountable to targets.
· Ensures global channel alignment with IMMY sales strategy, messaging, and brand standards.
Accountable for: Driving International Sales Growth & Sales Execution
· Owns responsibility for achieving ambitious international sales targets across all global regions.
· Drives consistent sales execution through rigorous process adherence and performance management.
· Ensures sales teams and distributor partners meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual booking goals.
· Monitors pipeline health, conversion rates, and sales performance metrics to identify gaps and drive corrective action.
· Champions a culture of accountability, transparency, and results within the global sales organization.

· Develops and implements strategies to accelerate IMMY’s global market penetration and revenue growth.
· Leads new-logo acquisition and expansion efforts in international markets.
· Identifies high-value market gaps, competitive opportunities, and penetration targets for rapid growth.

· Provides data-driven insights and market intelligence to guide strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Market Expansion & Forecasting
· Leads regional market expansion plans and prioritizes country-level growth initiatives.
· Owns international forecasting accuracy and pipeline visibility.
· Provides data-driven insights and market intelligence to guide strategic decision-making.
International Sales Enablement & Tech Sales
· Equips regional teams and distributors with training, tools, resources, and product knowledge.
· Partners closely with Tech Sales to support demos, evaluations, and clinical adoption.
· Ensures consistent global readiness for new product launches and sales programs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Collaborates with marketing, business development, product development, and regulatory affairs to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
Reporting & Market Intelligence
· Provides regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market developments, and strategic initiatives. Stays informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
· Proven track record of at least 10 years in international sales leadership roles within the IVD or medical device industry.
· Strong understanding of global healthcare markets, distribution networks, and regulatory requirements.
· Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire geographically dispersed teams to achieve ambitious sales targets.
· Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively
