Position Overview

We are seeking a Field Specialist to support our home care operations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role is primarily office-based, but requires flexibility to cover caregiver call-outs, conduct field support, and assist with urgent staffing or client needs.

The Field Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring continuity of care, staff support, and compliance with company policies and care standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Office & Administrative Support

  • Support daily home care operations from the office
     
  • Assist with caregiver coordination and schedule adjustments
     
  • Communicate with caregivers, case coordinators, and management
     
  • Document all field activity, staff interactions, and client updates accurately
     
  • Support compliance with agency policies and HCBS guidelines
     

Field & Coverage Support

  • Cover caregiver call-outs when staffing shortages occur
     
  • Provide direct care support when needed to ensure uninterrupted services
     
  • Assist with urgent client needs or unexpected service gaps
     
  • Conduct wellness checks, staff support visits, and on-site assistance
     
  • Step in during emergencies or last-minute coverage situations
     

Staff Support & Oversight

  • Serve as a point of contact for caregivers during assigned shifts
     
  • Provide guidance and direction while in the field
     
  • Reinforce care plans, safety expectations, and documentation standards
     
  • Report concerns, incidents, or performance issues to management
     


Requirements

 

ualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities
     
  • Previous home care, caregiving, or field support experience preferred
     
  • Ability to work both in-office and in the field as needed
     
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel for coverage
     
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
     
  • Comfortable responding to urgent situations and call-outs
     
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations

 

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
     
  • Ability to pass background clearance
     
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
     
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts

Salary Description
$22.00 - $26.00/ hourly
