Description
The Project Accountant will work closely with Project Managers to prepare monthly draw packages to be presented to clients in a timely, accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and prepare monthly draw packages for assigned clients; including reconciliation of job cost, budget-to-draw updates, change orders and restricted cash accounts.
- Work with the Project Managers and project teams to ensure alignment on draws, budgets, change orders and all other project related issues.
- Understand the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Maintain a high level of customer service to both our internal and external customers, including clients, employees, vendors and trade partners.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Review, understand and post all revenue vs COGS entries.
- Review and understand all profitability and job costing reports.
- Prepare Job Cost reconciliations and accrual entries.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in construction, development or real estate improvement finance or accounting or related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an intermediate or higher proficiency in Excel preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Sage CM, HomeFront, and BuildPro software applications preferred.
- Strong time management and organizational skills, basic knowledge of accounting principles, high degree of attention to detail, and ability to work independently desired.
